Textured lead seals Korda Distance Casting Swivel 2.5oz
as the name suggests, this feed is designed for long distance casting only. The very heavy design of the nose makes it very stable and keeps the lead condensed, which gives good hooking efficiency. Alan Partridge, an "old-fashioned" angler well known in the high circles of carp fishing, is the spearhead of his innovative spirit and long distance casting. For years he had been ridiculing Danny by saying, "My tracks are deeper than yours". One day Danny took a bite and said, "Go on, prove it." So they both headed for a big pit and Danny threw as far as he could with his slender, pointed original Distance Casting lead, the slack was removed and a rubber band was tightly fitted around the line before the lead was wound up. Danny removed the lead from the head clip and Alan put it on, Danny gave the big shot again and pulled the elastic straight off the spool plus about 30 metres of line! To add insult to injury, Alan allowed Danny to regain his head style and see if he could touch the rubber band. Danny couldn't match the distance. So he had to use Alan's design, which has remained the same to this day! It's probably Danny's favourite lead style, he says, "I like to line the IBre Artificial Bait and build a baited area, fishing all three rods within a few feet of each other. The thick shape of this line means fly straight as an arrow, it goes just where you want to go. For this type of fishing, I didn't think of using anything else!
